EFM Certification Exam Review: RNs, CNMs, and MDs Demonstrating Expertise

This review course is designed for experienced nurses, midwives, and physicians preparing to take the National Certification Corporation's (NCC's) Electronic Fetal Monitoring Subspecialty Certification Exam.  Upon registering for this course, you will be emailed a list of suggested readings to help focus your study in preparation for both this review course and the NCC EFM exam.  As a certification review course, no continuing education credits will be provided.

Advanced Fetal Monitoring and Perinatal Safety

Presented by Nancy O'Brien-Abel, MN, RNC

Designed for nurses, midwives, and physicians who interpret EFM, this comprehensive, fast-paced half-day course utilizes national guidelines and current medical and nursing research to delineate best practice, including expectations for careful fetal monitoring and timely interventions.  The importance of fetal oxygenation, FHR pattern evolution, management of Category II tracings, and fetal acid-base status will be stressed along with case studies emphasizing critical thinking and perinatal safety.

 

This course is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP-15334, for 4.25 contact hours.  Physicians may claim 4.25 Category II credits toward Washington State Relicensure.
